I have been taking a poetry class at a nearby university -- one I attended when I was struggling in early mental health recovery. In returning this fall I've had to face fears and past failures.

Learning More than Poetry in Class

I took the class to become a better writer, but there was so much more to learn. I discovered more about myself, my perspective, and my view of others.

I love this! Poetry holds a special place in my heart for me. It is so amazing and expressive and real! Poetry can bring us into a place of knowing within ourselves that is very surprising. I think it's wonderful that you had this experience. Creativity can be such a channel of self-learning and awareness. Thank you for sharing!
