Depressed and Locked in a Psychiatric Hospital

Major depression is a horrible thing and can lead you to do things that are unimaginable.

At the time, I was 20 years old. One day, before meeting up with friends, I took an overdose of medication and alcohol. I didn't really want to kill myself, but I didn't care if I lived or died.

When they saw the condition I was in, my friends were worried and off I went to the hospital emergency room. From there, the next stop was the psychiatric hospital aka mental hospital. What a harrowing experience that was! Watch my depression video where I go into more detail.

If you have depression and can relate to not caring whether you live or die or if you've faced a 5150 (involuntary psychiatric hospitalization), I hope you'll share your thoughts and experiences below. Or you can send a response video to info@ healthyplace.com and we'll share it on our channel. I read all your comments and try and respond to each one.

I also want to ask you to share this video on your YouTube channel or other social media. This isn't something many people talk about openly, but it needs to be. Thank you. Veronica
