The ad hominem fallacy is an argument that attacks a person's character instead arguing the content of their message. A few examples of how the ad hominem fallacy sounds are:

an insult, namecalling, belittling or
an attack on your motive or agenda, or
an attempt to point out hypocrisy to invalidate what you're saying.
