The "Anniversary"

I have a very important "anniversary" coming up in two days that brings chills down my spine just thinking about it. It was eleven years ago and I was 15 at the time. I was attending a party that my boyfriend at the time was throwing. I was having a good time. I had a beer, but everybody else, which included about 20 people was plastered. My boyfriend pulled me away from my friends, who were also intoxicated and into the bathroom and locked the door. It was pitch black in there. He told me I had held out on him too long and that he was going to get what he wanted that night. He grabbed my wrists and pinned me to the floor and raped me repeatedly for two hours. I screamed for help for the first hour, but just gave up and cried after that. Then I went numb. After he was through he told me to get dressed. I did and followed him out of the bathroom. Everyone was gone and the house was a mess. He said his parents were home at this point and he had a lot of explaining to do to them so he shoved me in a closet and locked me in at about 2 am. At 6 am he let me out to go to the bathroom them put me back in there. He told me that his family was going to church and that the code to the garage door was on the table so I could get out, but not to leave until I heard everyone leave. I left at 9 am. I didn't report it. I didn't tell my mom. I didn't tell anybody until 4 years ago. I stayed with him as my boyfriend for another year. I had such low self-esteem that I couldn't see myself with anybody else. He even called me every year for the next three years after we broke up on that date. This is the lovely anniversary I have coming up in two days. Wish me a happy anniversary!
