The affects of Pornography Use in a Marriage

The affects of Pornography Use in a Marriage

Let's talk about it. You are angry, hurt, shocked, abandoned....You feel betrayed by someone you trusted: Your spouse. You find out that you are suddenly "replaced" by an internet figment....You lose your self esteem, your pride, you spend your days and nights wondering just where it all went wrong....And how can you be replaced by a fantasy on a screen?? You may be new to this, you may have known it for a long time. You are not alone. Let's talk.....

Fear of Abandonment

Fear of Abandonment

For anyone with or without a diagnosis, who realizes they have an irrational - or abnormally intense - fear of of being abandoned. This includes physical, emotional, or psychological abandonment. Because of the topic I will disclose immediately (and I suggest others do as well) that I will not be actively monitoring this group. I will check in from time-to-time. My hope is that others will leave thoughts, experiences, wisdom, advice, questions, and responses. Whatever is on your mind.

Teen relationship depression.

Teen relationship depression.

This is for teenagers who feel like everything is going wrong, heres my story. I had been dating a boy pretty seriously on and off for a year. He decided he didn't want to be in a relationship over the summer but rather a friend with benefits. So i agreed, but in doing this I feel like i have let myself go. So then i decided i had to end it, and then i went back yet again. It's not that stupid teenage love, it's almost like an addiction. To make matters even worse i have a disfunctional family, i seriously can't take it anymore. i'm sick of crying i just want someone who understands to talk to.

Compulsive undereating

Compulsive undereating

For those of us who really don't have a place in the American culture. Most people eat when they get stressed, we skip meals. Not to lose weight, but to save time, money, you name it! Our challenge is not to stop eating so much, but to get our appetite back!

Teens (or adults) with disfuntional families.

Teens (or adults) with disfuntional families.

This support group is for those wh have a mentally ill sybling, parent, or anyone. Heres my story.. So all my life my family has been a mess. My older brother has a mental problem, he can sometimes have risky tantrums. and my dad was an alcoholic who recovered a few years ago. My mom, she's the one who gave us what we wanted all the time. But what I stopped seeing about maybe 14 years ago was them (my parents) showing affection. When I was thirteen I became depressed for about a year. Well I got better.. Last month my brother went crazy and was sent to a mental facility. My mom was devistated. My brother returned with in that week. My mom now has high anxiety worrying he might hurt us. My dad lacks communication with my brother, all my brother wants is a relationship with my dad, but all my life my dad has been in a way careless. If I said I didnt need my dad in my life, Id be lying. I believe we were put in this family for a reason. My dad told me that he didnt love my mom anymore and that he wanted to leave the country. I was hoping for the sake of my brother that he'd stay. I honestly didnt know what to do. All I wanted is alittle advice, prayer or help.

HOCD support group

HOCD support group

This group is for men and women with HOCD, like me. If you sit and worry that you might be gay, but you KNOW you are not, this group is for you. HOCD (homosexual obsessive compulsive disorder) is a condition where one obsesses over the thought of being gay. It is much like an internalized homophobia, even when you know you're straight as an arrow. I need help with this, and so do many people. Like a lot of other types of OCD, following OCD is depression, anxiety, mood swings, etc. Anyone is welcome to join.

Prozac Anti-Depressant Drug Side Effects

Prozac limits the uptake of serotonin, which acts as a chemical neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. This is what causes the drug's known effect on depression, as serotonin uptake has been linked to depression and a variety of other similar disorders. The medication also has an appreciable effect on various pain-related conditions, as well as some minor eating disorders. Some instances of Prozac being used to treat some hormone- and panic-related disorders. This has also been issued as a treatment for hypochondriacs.
