QUESTION:
Dear Dr. Heller,
There's a girl at my school who is really weird - she dresses in all black and is mad all the time, what kind of disorder is this?
DR. HELLER'S ANSWER:
She most likely has the borderline disorder (BPD). Every teen I've ever encountered who dressed in black, had chronic anger, and wrote death poems had the borderline disorder with chronic dysphoria (anxiety, rage, depression and despair). She's suffering a great deal.
The section on BPD and the FAQ section in ask the doctor will give you lots of information, including on how to help her.
