QUESTION:

I’m 15, and I have been having alot of trouble with many of the symptoms listed on this site, and self mutilation. How can I explain that to my parents?

DR. HELLER'S ANSWER:

Tell them something is wrong with your brain and you need help immediately before you hurt yourself severely or commit suicide. I recommend printing the front cover of my first book "Life at the Border" and showing it to them. It's available under the "books" section of this website.

You don't need to be in this much pain. Most likely you are 8 days - and the right combination/sequence of medications - away from feeling much better.
