I have just found out through looking at my medical records that my GP has diagnosed me as having schizoid personality disorder. This was for the purpose of obtaining CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy ) therapy for me (which

DR. HELLER'S ANSWER:
At this time the schizoid PD is felt to be on the spectrum towards schizophrenia, but not schizophrenia. A common example to describe schizoid is "Mr. Spock" from the original Star Trek series.
Neuroleptic medications can be helpful, and I would imagine the newer ones like Risperdal would help and have less risk of long term side effects.
Getting everything diagnosed and treated would help as your other problems make Schizoid worse.
