QUESTION:

I'm 17-year-old as a student. After taking some tests here, I could find that I have probably an obsessive-compulsive disorder, if not definitely. So what can I do right now??

DR. HELLER'S ANSWER:

You need medical treatment. The OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) can be disabling, and may be a sign of additional diagnoses such as the generalized anxiety disorder. Medication, including high doses of the vitamin Inositol are usually effective. If you're referring to the OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder), high doses of SSRI's - particularly Prozac - work remarkably well.
