QUESTION:

I was wondering if you can tell me what the term developmental personality disorder is?

I can only find tons of information and sites on Borderline personality disorder or others, but i can not find any thing on dpd. Thank you for any information you have on this term.

DR. HELLER'S ANSWER:

You wrote earlier and I have been checking all my reference sources - and there are none that I could find. There is no such official diagnosis, although some individuals may code it as "personality disorder NOS" - "not otherwise specified".

There is a neurological condition in children called "pervasive developmental delay disorder" which may be what you're looking for.
