My soon-to-be 6 year old son was diagnosed as
bipolar and I've been diagnosed as suffering from severe
depression. This is difficult for me because it is hard for me
to get my son calmed down when he's mad or upset. He has
threatened to kill himself. He's very violent towards others and
himself. The doctor prescribed him Risperdal which I found out
is used for Schizophrenia. I'm wondering if anybody else has
problems with their children. One minute he's the best little
boy and I know deep down he's a very good boy but he's got mood
swings worse than a woman on PMS; for real. I need to know if
anybody else's child is on the same medication and if it has
helped or is helping and how are you able to calm your child(ren)
down. It's like he's on a teeter totter. When he's up high he's
violent and very difficult to deal with. When he's low he's
"normal". Does anybody else have any ideas that could help. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *** Something to think about..."There is no chance, no destiny, no fate, that
