HealthyPlace.com visitors also share their personal stories of the consequences they faced because they weren't diagnosed or treated for depression soon enough.  You'll also find an antidepressant quiz.  Visit The Seriousness of Depression section now.

From the HealthyPlace.com Bipolar Bulletin Board: "I Feel No Support From The Ones I Love"

anastasia00:

"I have just recently started coming out of my deep depression and constant mood swings. My older sister always took care of me when I first became ill (bipolar + ocd). She was always there for me. She was my guidance and my comfort. This past fall when my depression was triggered by stress, I obviously turned to her for advice and comfort. Well let's just say I'm so angry with her. It's been awhile since I've had such a break down and I know I can't always depend on her, but it's like she's forgotten about my illness and that I need people to be gentle with me." continued here.
