My Wife is Bipolar and Won't Seek HelpPages: 1 procastnate: I have been married to my wife for 9 years and have been with her for 12. She has had many episodes and tried to commit suicide once. When money is tight and the stress from home life gets to her, she packs her bags and runs. She usually goes and signs a year lease in a rental. I try to give her space, but that is difficult for me because it usually sends me into deep depression. Well, this time she left right before Christmas and left me holding a $247,000 note on our house that I cannot afford by myself. I haven't sunk into deep depression, but I am depressed. She seems to be handling it better than me. At first, she always says she doesn't love me and wants a divorce, but here it is 6 weeks later and she is saying she does love me and maybe wants to work it out. She has been to a P-doctor before, but not only does she not remember much of it, she also did not stay on her meds. We have talked recently about her problem and she says she is going to go get help, but I think she is in denial and either won't go or won't stick with it. I want to help her, but I feel so helpless. Any suggestions on what to say and what to do to get her into seek help. PLEASE HELP. I really don't want to divorce her. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *** Something to think about..."Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another" From all of us here at HealthyPlace.com, we hope you have a good week.
