Kmart Adds 70 Medications to Drug Plan
(July 11, 2007) -- Sears Holdings Corp.'s Kmart said Wednesday it will
add 70 new generic drugs to its 90-day generic drug program.
Under the program, which began last year in more than 1,100 Kmart
pharmacies, customers can receive a 90-day supply of generic drugs for $15.
Now, more than 300 drugs are included in the program.
Some drugs included in the plan are
sertraline, used to treat
depression, and simvastatin, used to treat high cholesterol.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Target Corp. have similar programs, offering
generic drugs for just $4 per 30-day supply.
