I just heard a couple of days ago that Hershel had a book about about his DID. I went to the University of Georgia so was very aware of who he was. I know that what he is saying in this tape is true because I find out about things I have done all of the time from other people and I have no recollection of them. I have to take responsibility for everything I do because all of the alters are part of me, but that does not mean I know who they are or even how many there are. Unfortunately for me, I did not learn about my DID until late in life and it will take years to get in touch with my alters and hopefully one day integrate. I think that it is a shame that there are so many so-called professional therapists that do not believe in this disorder because it is real.
