Disturbing thoughts or voices?

I am 30 years old and have been dx with bipolar with periods of psychosis. That being said, I haven't been completely open w/MDs about what is going on. I describe it to them as "disturbing thoughts" but am not sure if they are really "voices". They aren't like normal self-talk kind of stuff and don't really come from inside my head, but I wouldn't call them voices (like a dude saying out loud "kill yourself", "die"). Then again, I don't really know what "voices" really are. I think part of it is that I don't want to be "crazy" and associate "voices" with that. I just wish I could make them go away! They are torturing me! Meds work at high doses, but I don't like the side effects, mainly feeling really drugged and serious appetite.

With myself, after a while the s.effects sorda stable too at a point, get better, taper off, so on! If u wanna get better u HAvE to stick with ur meds. The drowsiness, drugged feeling will also get better once ur body get used to them. If it's SO bad, tell dr. It's al trial & error, u do have UR magic pill, just takes time to find it n fog out what is the best for u! Weight gain however goes with territory, & at 34yr old it's even harder. For me to. Lose the exta lbs! Don't give up! I promis it does get better! U deserve to be happy & health! Get rid of ur demons! Lol that wht I call it! Good luck hon:)
