Advice?

Advice?

So I recently realized that I barely eat in a day and when I do it never goes above 570 calories. My fiance now realizes this too. So I set out to eat at least 1000 calories a day, and I have been struggling to do so, I find it a challenge to manage to eat that much. After a week of barely managing to make 1000 calories a day I am having a hungry day and I am scared I'm going to gain weight, I've never thought that I had any problems with food but now that I am consciously counting calories I am freaking out about going over 1000. I don't know what to do about my situation, if anyone out there has any advice I would gladly welcome it.

Re: Advice?

I have gone through what you are going through and it is too hard to do without help. Get a good therapist that is familiar with eating disorders to help you understand your reasons for feeling scared and uncomfortable about eating and weight gain. It will help.
Good luck,

Re: Advice?

Eating less than 1000 calories a day actually tells your body to store fat. I'm sure you probably already know this by now though. Any normal person should eat at least 1500 calories, as scary as it sounds. I've been suffering with an ED since fall of last year. I guess I can say I've been through freaking out about overeating as well. You get constant fear of eating something you can't measure and feel guilt after overeating. But think about what the food is doing to you instead. If it's healthy food, then numbers don't matter. They provide nutrients to keep your body going. That's what I've been telling myself when I realized I had an ED. Upping my calorie intake from 1,000 to 1,800 was tough, but I managed. And to be honest I feel so much better everyday! Think about the people around you and think about yourself. Once you start eating a healthy diet again you won't subconsciously think about calories all the time.

Re: Advice?

Actually you don't need to control your eating if you want to lose your weight besides you should only eat fruits and vegetables and drinks lots of water
