I am a past anorexic. In my opinion though, once you are diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, you never quite get over it (even after being labeled as "recovered") because you are always worried about relapsing or binging. It is quite an interesting disorder in that respect. All in all, I am doing very well in general and I come from 99 lbs and dropping at 5'7'' to a healthy weight which is on the verge of being overweight. After bring threatened with hospitalization, I tried to get better on my own. It was a long road.

Recently, I haven't been sleeping well. I haven't been on sleeping medication in months. (I am also obsessive-compulsive and schizoaffective).  This has been affecting my eating patterns as I tend to get up in the middle of the night and eat sugary foods. I started to binge on sugary foods when I was very, very skinny and I did not know how to control portions. This is the reason I am on the verge of being overweight. Sugar seemed so delicious to me. Why couldn't it be fruit? Haha. As of now I am not in full binging mode so I am simply going for two mini Milky-Way bars and two Dove candies at three o'clock in the morning. It's not a lot but it's not healthy either. I'm just hoping that my wanting to hide my sweets will disappear with the sleeping medication I was just prescribed.
