Hope to hear from everyone soon
I just want to say hi to everyone and ask how are you doing? A long time ago I wrote posts just to know how was everyone doing, and it has been a while since I talked to everyone. So how are you doing??
I'm doing ok, a lot of work, but ok. I'm trying to start new things which is hard, change (even for positive things) is hard. But I'm promising myself to keep trying.
Re: Hope to hear from everyone soon
In the context of bipolar disorder, a mixed state is a condition during which symptoms of mania and clinical depression occur simultaneously.Typical examples include tearfulness during a manic episode or racing thoughts during a depressive episode. Individuals may also feel incredibly frustrated in this state, since one may feel like a failure and at the same time have a flight of ideas. Mixed states are often the most dangerous period of mood disorders, during which substance abuse, panic disorder, suicide attempts, and other complications increase greatly.

I'm doing better. My pdoc doubled my Seroquil and I had a hard time adjusting to it. Thank God Sara told me that it took about 3 weeks or I probably would have given up. Then I started to rapid cycle. That's no fun so when I saw him last week he added lithium to the mix.T he cycling stopped and I feel a lot better, but I'm still depressed. It isn't as bad as it has been in the past. I don't know if it will get better with the lithium. I kinda of think it will.
How are you doing? Okay I hope. I haven't been in the forum for awhile, just a little bit here and there. I'm glad your kitty is good. I have 8 barn cats except they will all tell you they are really office cats. I have a glass shop (for making stained glass) and they each come in to eat and lounge around. I only let them in one at a time. Last year I loaded all of them up and took them to the vet and had them neutered. No more baby cats. My mama cat only weighs 4 pounds and having kittens was really hard on her. The rest are cats that people dropped off and 2 are her babies. That's what happens when you live out in the weeds.
I get along with a little help from my friends.
Re: Hope to hear from everyone soon
Hey I'm sorry about the med changes, it's hard and takes time for them to actually work, hang in there, I hope you start to feel the difference soon. Hang in there!
So you're a cat lover too?
I love my cats, sometimes too much mess and I don't like that, but I love them too much. One of them is still young, so plays a lot, but also destroys a lot! :s I hope it's just a phase and then she will behave better.
Re: Hope to hear from everyone soon
Yes, my cats are special, but all of my animals are special to me. I have a farm and my cats have a job. I haven't seen a rodent in ages. They all get office time where they can take a nap and get a bit of canned food. My daughter has loved and carried each around. They are really tame and don't go too far from the barn. The oldest is 7 and he gets special treatment. I think that most farm cats don't live that long. Mine all get their shots and wormed. Of course each has a name. I also have 2 dogs, horses, and llamas.

Wooow you really love animals, that's great! I love animals too. If I could I had more and more, but my house is not that big hehe. It must be fun to have a farm, although it must be exhausting too. Do you like it?
I hope everyone else answers too.
Re: Hope to hear from everyone soon
Yes, having a farm can be a lot of work. The animals are kind of left overs from when out daughter yas younger. She was in 4-H and used to show and jump horses. Most of them are old. We feel it would not be right to get rid of them. Otherwise we raise trees. We hire someone to do most of the work. The dogs are house dogs. My husband got me a puppy a couple of months ago. She is a miniature schnauser , she's cute and she knows it. She also runs the other dog's life. They are friends and play together.
Thanks for the encouragement. Med changes are the pits. Last week my pdoc added lithium to the mix. Getting used to it wasn't hard and I do feel a lot better. No more rapid cycling.
Take care and be well

Re: Hope to hear from everyone soon
oh good that you have people that help you in the farm. I'm happy the lithium is helping you.
I'm ok, I have been having some sleep problems so I'm very very sleepy, but besides that I'm ok.
