Should I quit now
Hi,'
My therapist has advised me to not quit smoking at this time. Her reason is because I have untreated depression, anxiety and D.I.D. If you had to rate my day to day stress on a scale of 10 it would be 8 or 9 usually. I have a multitude of physical problems that cause me great pain including fibromyalgia. I have no support network but I did join a nicotine support group. Do you think it is unrealistic for me to try to quit right now with all of this or should I wait until life calms down. I do want to quit I just don't know when. I quit often with the longest being 3 days but my problems sends me back to the pack

Re: Should I quit now
Hi, I am not sure what D.I.D. is but I know hypnosis helps with smoking. Most of my clients quit after 1 session sometimes 2 and they stay nicotine free for many years. Some do have relapses and then they come in for a tune up. Since hypnosis helps so much with anxiety and stress it can only be a good thing in the long run!I recommend relaxation or hypnosis mp3's or CD's on a daily basis to help with the anxiety. Good luck~ Mariah

Re: Should I quit now
I hope you've had some success with your efforts. I too had therapists tell me this was the least of my problems and not to worry about it yet. But in September I made a real effort with the patch. It didn't work, but I'm not going to give up trying. I think when I have a good long streak I'll make it.
