NOTE: As of September, I am using a $50 lithium battery powered digital scale with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 pounds.  The measurements are all taken with your standard seamstress tape measure with an error margin of +/- 0.25 inches. I figure my BMI with an on-line calculator from VegSource.  

Check-In Notes

  • 6-19-98 -- I think I am retaining water... boobs are sore and I am irritable. I hate this time of the month! 
  • 7-5-98 -- More proof that judging by scale alone is not wise.  I weigh more than the last check-in, but measure less overall.  I'm starting to see the barest hint of muscles beneath the skin... WAHOO! 
  • 7-31-98 -- Checking in early because tomorrow (8-1-98) I'll be away at my bridal shower.  I am trying not to feel down about my poor eating this week due to pre-wedding stress.  I've reverted to eating packaged foods, that are unfortunately high in sodium, and I feel bloated and nasty.  Let's hope I lose the water!   For July I did do some good things -- excercised more, tried to eat better, saw my size go down to a dress 14, Chic Jeans 16, so I am not complaining all that much.  It just bugs me that on my check-in day I feel gross.  One step at a time... 
  • 10-1-98  -- Don't know what I did with my Septmeber notes but here is October --- I was losing well and regained some over the SIX birthdays I attended this month.  One was my own!  I am 23! Then I managed to lose some of the re-gain and I at least met the minimum goal of 3 lbs gone.  The bigger bonus was losing inches --- I got into size L drawstring pants (before was XL) and I feel the difference in my other clothes.  The sheath I wore to my wedding that I was excited about just squeezing into now glides right over my hips without snagging -- whee!  I'm psyched for Halloween -- I can do this!  I have a pair of size 15 Chic jeans that have my name on them.   That's the next goal. 
  • 11-1-98 -- Things moved along well -- pounds-wise I  was down again, but I was more impressed with my inches.  The inches lost don't really reflect what I am most excited about though -- I can see some definition in my arms! In some places I measure the same or close, but look more toned! Go me! Go me!
  • 12-1-98 -- Doing ok, but really falling off in excercise.  Too tired to write more.
