General updates from across the
board.
Life
Doing fine, Paul is fine. Weekend
plans include a movie marathon with the in-laws (aka: how much Star Trek can I
stand to watch?). Still need to wallpaper the kitchen and I have a fence guy
coming next week to give me some estimates on fencing the yard. Thinking a lot
about that baby thing. But my sex life right now is low-key. Too tired all the
time. So we just think dirty thoughts at each other.
Paul's moved from planes to tanks
to making doll house furniture because at the rate he works at, he might
actually have a completed dollhouse by the time we have children and they are
old enough to play with it.
Happy coincidence -- all my old
Strawberry Shortcake dolls fit his little doll furniture patio furniture. Which
means I probably ought to dress them sometime if they are to come out of
retirement. Can't have a nudist dollhouse commune. Or could I?
Weight Loss
Next dietitian appointment is
August 22 (I changed it) and I'm shooting for being as diligent as possible for
keeping track of my food log. Why doesn't someone design a good food/training
log combo that doesn't squish all the entries into teeny little spaces?! And
why am I not losing anything lately? Better have her do a body fat measure
again. If I'm not losing weight, I hope I'm rearranging my body composition so
I have more muscle tissue than before. I'm not knocking the physical prgress
with fitness stuff like moving faster. That's fab.
But target weight would be nice to
see before I get to being serious about making babies dangit!
Marathon Training Stuff
I slut for traffic for pledges. In
a way I will be glad once January comes and I can take off all this junk from
my journal but for the meantime, I still slut for pledges. What the hell
am I babbling about? I added another link to the webrings page for "The
Top Diet Sites." I hate that because I don't believe in
"dieting" but at the same time, after much discussion with Adrith on
similar topics that have come up with fundraising (like if some diet company
wants to sponsor us, even if we don't like Rooty Tooty Fruity Diet
Shakes, would we accept the donation? Yes!), we've come to the conclusion that
we're not too proud to slut for NF. To a degree.
Ok,
so I'm a slut now!
You might also ask how it's going
with the charity marathon fundraising. I got another NF budget sheet and
between me and Adrith, we're just $9 shy of hitting our first grand! Yay! $4000
more to raise before race day. So that's $100 a week each raised in pledges
from here to the end of December. Can I raise that much?! You now see why I'm
slutting. Oy.
I wish this week's training log
was doing as well as the budget reports -- weather's got me missing some
mileage. I was shooting for 22 miles this week, but it will be a miracle if I
make it to 15!
I spent some time checking out the
photos on the Disney
Deads website. Of course, I'm impressed by the people who finished with fab
times, but the 5-6 hrs+ people interested me more. The back of the pack -- for
that's where I'll be. Adrith and I are shooting for a minimum of 4.0 MPH
walking, so that means we'd finish the marathon in 6 hrs, 33 minutes. They give
us 7 hours to finish. Will 30 minutes be enough time to cover potty breaks and
all that?! It's looking like walk/jog. Definitely.
