AM
De ja vu kind of conversation with
my mom because I seem to remember the SAME conversation this time last
year.
Mom (on phone): I
forgot to ask you when I was over earlier.
Me: Ok, what?
Mom: What are you doing for your
anniversary?
Me: What anniversary?
Mom: YOUR anniversary. The one
coming up.
Me: Oh, that's right. What is
it... next week or something?
Mom: And?!
Me: I don't know, Mom. It's only 2
years, we will probably go out to eat or bike or something but nothing overly
fancy. It's not like 25 or 50 years.
Mom: 50!? You know that's a lot.
Some people don't make it to 50.
So? First of all, marriages are
something to be celebrated daily, not annually. It's the small ways that count,
not the big ones. Second, I'm shooting for 50+, so don't ever say I don't aim
high. How many times in my life do you think I want to get married?!
