Sometimes
you just wind up at Wal-mart in the middle of the night. Or in our case, 3 AM
Sunday morning feeding the machines at the entrance quarters and playing at car
racing. Paul was wanting some model stuff and was hoping Wal-mart carried it
cheaper than the hobby stores and I was bored so I was game. And so we
went.
I puttered around
looking for a new yarn color for more crocheting but then I found the
Makit
& Bakit bowl set. Why crochet when you can melt plastic in the oven and
stink up the whole house?! Indoor air pollution!
Basically it's one of
those kiddie craft kits better suited for slightly pyromaniac adults.
(Me.)
You arrange these
plastic bits on pie tins, melt it flat, then set it over an empty can and melt
it a little more and wind up with these free-form bowls in bright colors. What
I should have done is ignored the directions, lined a cookie sheet with foil,
dumped ALL the plastic bits in there and made one huge Tiffany-esque
bowl for flowers on the coffee table. Maybe I'll get another kit and do just
that!
