I am waiting for my clothes to dry
so I can dress out for gym. It's sick, but I am up. Sicker still, I'm looking
forward to it! What's the temperature like at 5:15 AM? 87 deg on the heat index
and climbing. Sigh.

There a new Florida Law that gives
motorcyclists the option of NOT wearing helmets if they pay something like a
$10,000 insurance fee. Ever since it took effect, I haven't seen one person on
a motorcycle with a helmet on. I guess if you want to take risks it's up to
you, but it bothers me.
Is human life only worth $10,000?
Do people not care about protecting their heads in the event of a fall? If I
wear one whiel blading and biking when I KNOW I can't get past 20 MPH under my
own power, why do people whizzing by way faster on a gas-powered machines not
wear one?
Insane.

I am back. It's been so long since
I have been to the gym this early I forgot all the things I like about it. I'm
not wild about dragging myself out the door that early, but I do like some of
the things about it.
- Minimal traffic
- no waiting at the gym because
there are less people
- people who are there are more
serious and quiet -- not the rowdy evening crowd
- locker room that doesn't smell
like hundred of people have been through there already all sweaty
- sunrise and moonset
- the smell of the morning
air
- dew on the grass
- listening to CCR on the radio on
the drive back
- knowing I got this out of the way
and my evening is now free.
