I updated the
marathon schedule so it shows the
whole thing. It rained a lot today, so I never went to gym for my endurance
walk. I just didn't want to run out in the rain. I shouldn't pass up endurance
walks totally though.
"The
most important workout, of course, is the long run. If you have the
psychological energy for only one quality effort a week, this is the one to do.
Long runs build endurance, which is essential to the completion of a
marathon."
~The Complete Book of
Running for Women by Claire Kowalchik
I am just so SICK of the gym
scene, and this summer weather isn't making being outside for the training
walks a good option.
It's too bad we don't have cardio
theater -- at least then we could watch movies while doing cardio. At Epcot at
the pavilion that's about the human body they have these recumbent bikes with
monitors and you pick a scene and depending on how fast you pedal, it takes you
through the scenery. Paul likes the parade one, or the Disney parks one. I
always pick the one that's from the point of view of the family dog because
it's funny to watch the dog run around under an around the furniture of the
house.
Why don't more gyms do something
like that? VR scenery.
Anything to keep from starting at the same white walls! :P
I am having a hard time staying on
top of my water needs so I won't get dehydrated and then suffer along with
headaches. I got 2 L down so far today but it's still not enough.
Know what your water needs are?
