It rained most of the day and when it
let up this afternoon I managed to squeeze in my 45 min. walk through the
neighborhood. I got back to the house just as it was starting up again so it
worked out perfectly. It's a cool, mild *75* deg out! Wahoo! Keep it the same
minus the rain and I'll be a happy camper tomorrow on the trail!
Meanwhile I am impressed with the
turnaround time from Lucy.com. I
got my order today making it a two-day turnaround time over ground.
I will have a wicking top for the
three hour tour tomorrow! Fits great, love the slight scoop neck and fog blue
color.
However, they did not send the
other top -- the indigo one. Instead, I got a pair of Moving Comfort (love this
brand) fitness shorts and since my connection is down from rain brownouts and I
can't get anyone on the phone at the moment, I'm wondering about what I ought
to do. I want to talk to customer service and see if it was a mistake or if
they sent me shorts because they ran out of the top or what? I didn't ask for
shorts. I wanted tops!
Coincidentally, they fit me. But
they are three inches shorter than I am used to wearing. They do have leg
grips, so that ought to keep them down and from riding up at the crotch. But
they are still three inches shorter than I am used to wearing! Argh. I
wear little tiny shorts at home to hang out in and to bed, but this would be
public gym wear. Could I trust them not to ride up? REALLY trust them? I would
hate to become a treadmill front wedgie picker. But I would be forced to become
one if they rode up because I hate inner thigh rubbing even more that gym scene
reproval. My comfort comes before my pride.
The other cool things about this
pair of fitness shorts that makes me debate returning them? They are
Supplex/Lycra with a Coolmax liner, they have a key pocket, and the side color
band is in that shade of indigo-lapis-electric blue I like so much and the rest
is in navy. Dammit. Blue is my favorite color! They just had to make this
difficult. If they'd sent orange pants by mistake instead I wouldn't even be
having this conversation with myself!

Oh, what the hell. I'll keep them
and call Lucy.com and ask them what happened with my other shirt and sort out
the proper billing. If they work out ok in actual use, they'd be a great
candidate to wear for race day.
