Lots of people are careless about locking their homes. Many criminals pick their victims by looking at what home is easy to break into. Below are some suggestions to deter this type of crime. This is an important step in rape prevention.

Locksmiths will install two deadbolts and a peephole for about $85.

Dowels to put in the sliding tray of a patio door and most windows cost about $.50 .

Each dowel can be cut to fit with a table knife.

You may want to paint the dowel the color of the tray and add a string or tape around the center for easy removal.

Security sprays, decals, and alarms are available from Radio Shack, KMart and similar stores.
