Welcome to "Life at the Border." I'm Dr. Leland Heller. As a Family Physician, I have a different perspective on mental health than those that deal only with mental health issues.

I have treated thousands of patients for the disorders involving "Biological Unhappiness." I've been involved with mental health issues for over a decade. In my regular practice, I see patients with BPD (borderline personality disorder) from all over the world. I ran a BPD support group for 3.5 years, given hundreds of lectures, and regularly answer questions about Borderline Personality Disorder and other biological causes of unhappiness. My first book was "Life at the Border - Understanding and Recovering from the Borderline Personality Disorder."
