Chronic Pain News FDA OK's St. Jude Chronic Pain Device St. Jude Medical Inc. has received regulatory approval to market a device used to treat chronic pain, the company said Wednesday. The neurostimulation device, dubbed EonC, uses electrical pulses to prevent pain signals from reaching the brain. It will be used to treat patients who suffer from chronic back pain due to a failed surgery. The device also features a long-lasting battery, the company said. Chronic Pain Link To Vitamin D Deficiency In Women A recent study has shown that deficiency of vitamin D can lead to occurrence of chronic pain in women. The study also showed that low levels of vitamin D have no connection to chronic widespread pain in men.
