Bipolar Man Sues Dr.
Phil
(November 21, 2007) -- A man who says he has
bipolar disorder wants to
sue Dr. Phil and his show for 100 million dollars. Neal Sutz says he was
discriminated against in 2003 when he was a member of the audience.
Sutz says he and the rest of the audience were asked to sign waivers
saying they weren't
mentally ill and were not under psychiatric care. Sutz
says when he told the staff about his disorder he was told not to ask
questions during the show or to interact with Dr. Phil or the staff.
Sutz says a settlement was reached in 2004 but it was non-monetary. Now,
he's asking the court to set aside that settlement so he can file the
multi-million dollar suit.
