Extensive information on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). What is OCD plus symptoms, causes and treatment of OCD. And where to get help for OCD.
Welcome to the OCD Center Homepage
On occasion, everyone has gone back to double-check that the front door is locked or the oven is turned off. For people with OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), obsessive thoughts (i.e. fear of germs or toxic substances, did I unplug the coffee pot?) and compulsive behaviors (i.e. handwashing, checking, etc.) become excessive; they can't stop and they interfere with daily life.
At HealthyPlace.com, we want you to know that there is help available. Many treatments and self-help strategies can reduce the symptoms of OCD.
You can learn more about OCD here. We also have many videos on OCD. And if you're looking for OCD support, we hope you'll join the HealthyPlace.com Support Network (our social network). Many times, sharing support and information with others who have common experiences can be helpful and comforting.
