Look Inside of OCD - Personal Perspective on Living with OCD
Eric
" my name is eric and i have had ocd all my life..It finally started controlling me and i ended up in a mental hospital twice.. I saw the movie girl interrupted and it changed my view of things.."
Jennie" I was first introduced to OCD through my son. I knew when he was very young that something was different about him, I just couldn't put my finger on it. It started out with food..."
Steve"... Please people, if you are having thoughts or are acting out things that are causing you to be depressed and you feel your life is not in your control, get the help you need. I have, and although I still deal with OCD every day, it is easier to know what is causing the guilt and the reactions I have to my thoughts and to be able to talk about it. Hope this can help someone. "
Brenda" my earliest memory of an ocd obsession was around 4-5 years of age. i noticed a neighbor's cat with a dead mouse in its mouth, and i was fascinated. i remember telling my mother about the sight, and her response was, "oh, you didn't touch it did you?"
Denice" I was totally paralyzed form the inside out. I heard only loud noises reverberating in my brain. I shouted at myself all the time just to keep the noise out, just to drown out the white noise in my head. I felt like I was sharing brain space with a roaring lion."
Laura" There are no existing thoughts or problems of your own and then someone makes a remark, or in my case I see something on TV, and then poof, an OCD fire starts from a small spark and before I know it the flames begin to spread and rage into a recalcitrant, obsessive wild fire."
Riley" I Have been suffering with OCD, anxiety and depression from the time I was 7 yrs old. OCD for me started out with me washing . . ."
