Letter to Parents
Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
Our school shares your concern about your child's safety and well-being. At some time during this school year, your child's teacher will be sending you more information about our Celebrate Safety child abuse prevention program.
The curriculum includes information about stranger lures as well as good, bad, and confusing touches. The children will learn what to do when confronted with potentially abusive situations. The program is upbeat and teaches children to be careful, but not fearful. You will be invited to join your child's class when the curriculum is presented.
However, if in the interim, you'd like the opportunity to see what your children will be learning before the actual event or feel you will be unable to attend the classroom presentation, you are invited to attend a showing of the program's films:

- Do you feel your colleagues benefited from the opportunity to discuss and address the issue of false accusation and what, if any, cooperative strategies for dealing with such concerns have resulted from the inservice?

- Above all, how do you feel about your experience as a Celebrate Safety Facilitator?
