The Frog

Our therapist once told us a story about how, when he was a boy, he once found a giant bullfrog frozen in the mud, and he took it to school and it slowly revived. So when we saw a large plastic bullfrog in a catalog we ordered it. We took it to therapy one day, and when he stepped out of the room, we hid it under his desk behind his wastebasket.

He found it shortly after we left, so the joke didn't work so well. He knew it was from us. But that frog sits and watches us each week now, and helps us feel that the dark depths are friendly.
