Written spring 1997: I write either in pink or in black. I am the one who wants to harm the body. For many different reasons. I never have done so, but I keep dreaming that a blood ritual could finally make us clean again. I painted that so that people could really see what I mean, and they did see.

Blue and the rest of the adult collective (the colors) say they will try to trust me and be willing to let me do whatever I need to do to express myself. I promised I would listen to the little ones who are afraid of getting hurt. It is the pain of the little ones, particularly Need , that I am frightened of. If I could someone put that pain in the body and get rid of it then I could go on.
