We were at the grocery store the other night and Paul was getting ice cream for his shake things and asked me if I wanted anything from the freezer case.

me: I don't think so...

him: You looked like you wanted something.

me: Well, I was looking at sorbet.

him: So have sorbet.

me: Nope. Don't need sorbet.

him: So splurge.

me: Already splurged this weekend.

him: Where?

me: We ate out, remember?

him: I guess I don't consider that a splurge. To me, that's just food.

me: Well, a splurge to YOU, Mr. Need to Gain Weight, is on a different scale than to me, Ms. Need to Lose Weight. To me, eating out once a week is splurge enough!

Paul's idea of food and my idea of food are still polar opposites, but at least not as polar as they used to be. Not that he can eat anything much anyway -- he had the last of his wisdom teeth removed. Hooray! No more dental bills for a while! Yesterday he had a shake through a straw and nibbled at some cracker things. Today we're going to have spaghetti for dinner with Boca Burger crumbles -- that ought to be soft enough to eat on the other side of his mouth.

I'm so tired lately... I feel like I am dragging. Regualr life, trying to get fundraising junk done, trying to find time to do the stupid wallpaper in the ktichen... more fence people fussing... blah!

I want a vacation so bad.

I started looking up bed and breakfast places near Withlacoochee to see if we can take off for a weekend mini vacation and just bike and be lazy.

That sounds sooooo pleasant!
