Anxiety Disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S. with 19.1 million (13.3%) of the adult U.S. population (ages 18-54) affected. Anxiety disorders are serious medical illnesses. These disorders fill people's lives with overwhelming anxiety and fear. It's felt that one-quarter of the general population experiences a real anxiety disorder during their lifetime and commonly, anxiety co-exists with other medical conditions, especially depression.
