Schizophrenia - Thought Disorders Community
rules and guidelines apply
to chats as well as to the
Thought Disorders, Schizophrenia forums (bulletin boards).
We count on our chat hosts to moderate our
scheduled chats, keeping them generally on topic, welcoming participants, and
trying to see that all are heard and treated with respect. This isnt
always easy, and we ask members to work with the hosts to accomplish these
goals.
If you have differences with the judgment of a
chat host, please save the history of the chat and contact the area coordinator
or the Community manager later.
Please remember that while our chats are a good
space for mutual support and self-help, they cannot take the place of your
therapist or your local crisis center. Be clear with others when you are
talking about distress or depression that this is an issue you are working
with, not a call for immediate action.
Our chat rooms are open at all times, but we
cannot be responsible for behavior in these rooms when they are unhosted. We
suggest creating your own room, where you will automatically have host
privileges, as an alternative to meeting in an unhosted chat room.
Sue
Moran, Schizophrenia - Thought Disorders Community Manager.
