Armstrong defines the seven intelligence groups that
make up learning styles so you can determine which
styles are predominant. He also explains how
teachers could easily teach to each learning style
to reach every child. One chapter is on testing for
failure, which is how he feels most tests are
geared. Another chapter is called "Dysteachia"
Dr. Armstrong had been a learning disabilities specialist but was disenchanted with what was being done with labeling kids as learning disabled, and he he eventually pursued the notion of learning "differences", and developed the theory behind the seven styles of learning he describes in the book.
