Project Gallery
I've gotten a lot of mail
from women who tell me they think my progress
photos are cool because it helps them put their own bodies in
perspective. For a long time I've been wanting to do something bigger and
better -- not just pix of me.
You want to see galleries of
photos of body parts to help put your own body image in perspective? Arms?
Legs? Thighs? Hands? Ears? More?
Well, I'm in the process of
creating that gallery! But I also need help -- donate some photos!
What Happens to the Photos?
I take the photos and follow
these steps:
- Chop off the head or blank
out the eyes if requested.
- Convert it to a
black-and-white photo.
- Adjust the image size,
brightness and contrast and other variables until I have something
workable.
- Give it it's alphanumeric
filename. The name is based on the number of the photo and the body
part it shows. (Ex: 324ear.jpg)
- Get it's page up and going
with any of the optional information the donor decided to send.
So you see -- it's pretty
anonymous, and the only things displayed are the photo/info you chose to
share, in the appropriate gallery.
YOU are the one in control --
you pick which galleries to participate in, and YOU chose how much
personal info to reveal with the photo. No one will ever know who the
photos are of unless you tell them.
E-mail them as .jpg
attachments to astrophe@healthyplace.com
Right now I am trying to get
at least enough photos for a little "preview" here so you can
have a better idea of what the galleries will look like. I'll try to have
that up before October 1, 1999.
