Life with bipolar disorder:
An online diary
Part 7

Well, my idea of not sleeping for one night hasn't worked. This is now the
3rd night I'm awake and I still can't sleep :( I did catch a few hours of sleep
(4 of them - between 06:00-10:00 in the morning) but that shouldn't be enough.
Well guess what: it is ! I actually considered going jogging last night - so
I'll be tired enough to sleep. Then I figured it would be kind of strange if I
go running at 3 a.m.
I tried to fight it, but this is futile so I might as well use the extra
time for something useful (in my case - reading and the internet). Luckily, I
don't have to see my therapist until another 2 weeks from now. So by the time I
see him, this sleeping problem should be over.
I'm not getting high (manic). This is just my insomnia kicking in. Been
there, done that. I'll be awake for a week or so and than crash; sleep for
15-hours a day for about 3-days. Ain't the first time. I'm used to this, so
I'll just let it run it's course. At first, I was worried. I thought my
internal clock has been going crazy on me again. As I said, I'm basically a
night person. It takes me a really long time to get it back to normal once I
start sleeping days and being awake at night. This is different. Now I don't
sleep day or night. So I'll crash eventually. This usually doesn't take long.
No other news besides that...
Trillian
" The woods are lovely, dark,
and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
~ Robert Frost - Stopped by Woods on a Snowy Evening ~
