RESULTS
Prescribed Antidepressants

The total number of research participants who have used at least one Prescribed Antidepressant is 288 (or 56%). A total of 55 (or 10.6%) of research participants are/have taken more than one Prescribed Antidepressant. A total of 12 (or 2.3%) of research participants are/have taken more than two Prescribed Antidepressants. Tables 7 shows the total number of research participants taking the various Prescribed Antidepressants and the length of time they have used these Antidepressants.

For example, 58 (or 11.2%) of participants have taken Zoloft. 5 of those people did not specify how long they had taken Zoloft. The average length of time that people had/are taking Zoloft is 12 months or 1 year. 5 had/have taken Zoloft for 2-5 years etc. 29 participants are still taking Zoloft while 29 have ceased to take it. The Table showing Total Antidepressants Taken shows a total number of 355 of the listed Antidepressants had been reported as being taken. There were multiple antidepressants used by participants therefore the increased number from the 288 (or 56%) figure quoted previously. This Table gives an overview of the average time the antidepressant had been used by participants. Here the mean time for taking a Antidepressant is 17 months (approximately 1.4 years).

For your information, the Table shows the Generic Name of the Antidepressants frequently prescribed for Anxiety Disorders. Note that there can be multiple antidepressants under one generic name. For example, Zoloft, Arapax and Prozac are all SSRI antidepressants. Although they are in the Generic Antidepressant classification of SSRI, they are different prescribed antidepressants.
