Questions & Answers:

Dealing with Trauma

Q. Recently I have been through a trauma, one that has occurred before. It is to the point where I sit down all day long and have moments of crying for no particular reason. I know that I am very unhappy, insecure, confused, finding it hard to make the right decisions. Am I depressed, having an anxiety attack, or what? Please help me!

A. This is common for people who have experienced a trauma. There can be a great emotional content associated with the experiencing of a trauma.

I can't diagnose over the internet, but highly recommend you go to your doctor to get some assistance. When you experience a trauma and it is affecting your life in the way it is, then really, get the assistance you need to heal this wound. This may involve some counseling to help work with the emotions which are arising for you at the moment.
