FEAR

What is the difference between fear and anxiety? [MORE]

HERBAL She wants to help herself - The natural way- self-relaxation, and overcoming her fear. Do you know of any herbal, or non-medical, natural remedies which may help in the control of her condition. [MORE]
HORMONES I am a 46-year-old female who has been having anxiety/panic attacks for 2 years now. I have had all of the medical check-ups, and there is nothing physically wrong with me. I am also seeing a psychiatrist who has put me on Prozac and I am also on Estrogen, a very low dose. Is it possible for the attacks to be hormone related? [MORE]
HYPER-
VENTILATION
I suffer from panic/agoraphobia. I am still having panic attacks and some agoraphobia so I went to a therapist late last year. She said I had a hyperventilation problem and insisted I should fix it before she could start CBT. She sent me away to practice breathing. [MORE]
INSOMNIA I have been suffering from insomnia for the last eight months which has triggered continuous anxiety and panic - or perhaps it's the other way around. Quite frankly, I'm so "undone," I can't tell. [MORE]

I was taking medication for awhile and then my doctor suggested I could taper my dose down until I was finally able to come off altogether. [MORE]

I experienced my first panic attack. It took months before I was finally diagnosed with panic disorder and put on medication (Xanax & Zoloft). I am still taking Xanax but not Zoloft. MEDITATION

I also notice that you recommend meditation to control panic attacks. How often should I meditate and where can I go to learn how to do it? [MORE]

I find I can meditate very easily, and I see the colors very soon after shutting my eyes, and I suppose I take this for granted since I've always been able to do it, I just didn't know *what* I was doing. But now I know what's happening, I've discovered the exact same thing happens when I sing. [MORE]

I have started practicing meditation after reading your book (which I found it most useful and interesting, and I have been reading it repeatedly). After each meditation, I found difficulty in falling asleep ( I usually meditate at night ). [MORE]

NAUSEA I feel I need to get more help as it keeps resurfacing for no particular reason.. It is not too bad, but I can't eat due to nausea, for a few days sometimes. I take maxalon (anti-nausea tabs) but feel awful. [MORE]

I have what you have said are spontaneous panic attacks. They just happen any time any where and they can also wake me up at night. [MORE]
