    Provides crisis intervention and travel assistance to runaways. Referrals to shelters nationwide. Relays messages to set up conference calls to parent at the request of the child.

    Provides information and referral for shelter, counseling, medical, and legal services and transportation back home. Operates a personal, confidential message relay service between runaways and their families.

     Crisis line for youth, teens, and families. Locally based referrals throughout the United  States. Help for youth and parents regarding drugs, abuse, homelessness, runaway children,  and message relays.   Operates 24 hours.

 Resources for Parents & Kids

Father Flanagan's Boys Home (Boys Town), 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010, (402) 498-1301. Boys Town operates a variety of in and out of home services for children and families which includes, a residential treatment center, residential services, emergency shelter, family preservation, treatment foster care, and parenting classes in 13 states. The Boys Town National Training Center offers training to other child-care professionals, school districts, mental health facilities, and other organizations. Boys Town also operates a national toll free hotline for youth problems, (800) 448-3000. 

National Directory of Hotlines and Crisis Intervention Centers, Covenant House Nineline, 346 W. 17th St., New York, NY 10011, (800) 999-9999, TDD 800) 999-9915. Twenty four hour nationwide hotline for runaways and troubled youth and their families. Offer referrals to services in caller's local area. Conference calls and message relays to runaways who wish to speak with their parents. 

Childhelp USA/IOF Foresters National Child Abuse Hotline, toll free (800) 422-4453 or (800) 4-A-Child. The National Child Abuse Hotline provides crisis counseling, child abuse reporting information, and information and referrals for every county in the United States. Referrals include national, state, and local agencies. The hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by mental health professionals. 

The National Children's Advocacy Center, Local Intervention Program,106 Lincoln St., Huntsville, AL 35801, (205) 533-KIDS. The center provides child protective services, law enforcement, prosecution, mental health, medicine, education, and other resources in a model community response to child sexual abuse. The center sponsors training conferences, disseminates research findings, and technical assistance. 

What Are You Doing  To Stop The Abuse of Our Children?

This Congressional Bill would provide nationwide
FBI fingerprint-based criminal background checks
for employees and volunteers of youth serving organizations.

We must do our part to help stop internet child pornography.

Report suspicions of Websites, individuals, servers, or chat rooms trafficking in suspected child pornography to:  International Child Pornography Investigation and Coordination Center or FBI Field Offices or email relevant information to icpicc@customs.sprint.com. The U.S. Customs Service is also working with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on Internet child pornography concerns and investigations.
