Sexual Abuse and Men

Reality

Well, I guess this is reality
Though it seems more like fiction to me
And run fast as I can, I can't get away
Because my mind's always faster
And I just gasp for breath
Because I can't scream anymore
Or live, or die, or laugh, or cry
I'm all used up, I'm all lived out
I guess this is reality
Becuase nightmares don't get this bad
Or last this long
Or leave this little when you wake
Nothing left but demons
I'm powerless to face
Just because I'm afraid
And a cold sweat, down the back of my neck
I guess this is reality
Because with nightmares you always wake
But all I do is run
And feel this pain nipping at my heels
And I dive inside a bottle
Inside other people
Inside a book
Inside myself
But its always back when I poke my head out again
So, I guess this is reality
Because now its closing faster
And faster.
