| stories Why all these personal stories? In my adult self-help group, one of the things that always is amazing to me is the variety of stories I hear from ADD adults. Just when I think I understand the ADD life experience, I hear a new story with a new slant that I had never considered before. When I created this new site, I wanted to help all of us to share our stories with as many people as possible. As quickly as this area started with the few stories ADDers had sent to me, it began to take off. In less than two weeks, we have gone from one story to five! I respect the bravery it takes to share your personal experiences with others, and think the response is outstanding. I think this new ADD story area is SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. The stories people are sending me are frank, honest and open and contain messages and experiences that have value to both ADD and non-ADD people. One of the difficulties ADDers often encounter is the inability of those without ADD to understand our challenge. If you live with, are friends with, married to or work for someone who simply doesn't understand the ADD experience, print one of these out and give it to them to read. It may help. Anyhow, please check out ADD Stories and if you are so moved, send me your story to add to the site. Sincerely, D. Steven Ledingham top | your story | more stories | poems-comments home |
